Before you tear it down, pull the distributor cap and rotate the engine until #1 cylinder is at top dead center and the rotor is pointing to the #1 cylinder on the cap. Set the crankshaft pulley to 0 degrees TDC. Now All of your timing marks will be lined up. As long as you don't rotate any pulleys with the belt off, you should have no problems retiming the camshafts. When you do the pump, put a new belt on too. Make sure you check the tensioner bearing and replace that if it has any play in it or is making any noise when you spin it by hand. Any sugggestions?
