2000 Mazda Protege, about 90,000 miles on it. Through a contrivance of events, I had to leave this car for 2 weeks without it being run at all. It wouldn't start when I got back to it, but I got a jump and it drove 45 miles home on the freeway, and then seemed to have no issues for about a week as I drove it regularly. Stupidly on my part, I did not run it for another 4 or 5 days, and now it won't start again, although it does seem to be getting the faintest amount of juice whereas when it previously did not run it was deader than a doornail. Is it possible to guess with some degree of confidence what I would need to do to get this little car, which heretofore has been something of a cockroach, to run reliably again? I'd appreciate any advice; I'm pretty clueless when it comes to cars. -Steve

What was the result when you had the battery tested? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.

How about the obvious? Have the battery tested.
