So I have a 2000 Honda Accord, it has the 2.8 vtec I think... it's at about 280 000kms (yes I'm Canadian lol) the car runs beautifully (most of the time) when it gets real hot though it's almost as if there's a governor in place because at 3000 rpms I lose all power and the car starts to sputter. It's at 3000 exactly every time, in all gears, but only when the engine is hot. I know my timing belt was loose so I did change that in hopes of fixing the problem but no luck, and nobody I know seems to have any clue as to what it might be other than perhaps a coil maybe? any other ideas? Thanks :)

Check engine light on or flashing. If so, what trouble code(s) are being stored? Since we volunteer our time and knowledge, we ask for you to please follow up when a problem is resolved.

The light is on, it's orange. But I don't have a tester so I'm not sure of the codes, I'm hoping to get my friend to check it this weekend.
