2.2L K-Car won't start?

I have a student w/ a 88 Reliant 2.2 Liter, quit running. Turns over strong, we pulled the gas line at the injector and it fills a can. Checked the spark, it was yellow, not strong. New plugs, wires, rotor, and cap, good spark but still no start. Is there something to check with the fuel, car fired when starter fluid was sprayed in the injector. It just won't start, what do we look for next? Help with a list of next probable things to check. Thanks much. DG

Fuel pressure???? From your post that's what I would blame for this. Should be a place to check it against specs -- Good luck,
