Hey everyone,

I've recently inherited an 1999 infiniti I30 limited edition. The car accelerates smoothy and runs great, but when i'm idling or just trying to maintain my speed on the has peddle the car jerks around.

I just had to spark plugs and plug wires changed and that didn't fix the issue. Anybody have an educated opinion about what could be happening before i go to another mechanic and they tell me i need a whole new engine?

They have a lot of problems with coils. Is the check engine light on to identify which cylinder?

Forgot to mention, the car has 118K miles on it.

I'll try to take it somewhere and get the codes checked

Yup the check engine light is coming on. The weird part is that it only shows up half of the time.
