1999 Subaru Impreza (Hatchback) All-Wheel-Drive Manual 5-speed Transmission 1.8 L Engine 126K Miles Hi Folks, my 1999 Subaru recently started hesitating badly at low RPMs. At first, when I shifted gears the car seemed to drop hard into the next gear and hesitate (feels like the car is jolting) until I hit 2000+ RPMs then it would kick out of it and feel normal. Its even more prominent if I'm going around 30-mph and shift into 4th gear. I can sort-of remedy the problem by staying on my clutch longer while shifting, this helps in the lower gears, and by keeping the car in a lower gear for longer than I normally do. There isn't much I can do in higher gears on the highway... Typically if the car starts hesitating in 5th gear on the highway, I have to down-shift to 4th gear, speed up a bit, and shift back into 5th gear, and try to keep my foot on the gas. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
