I have a 1999 Mercedes Benz E320 with a 3.2L engine that produces a light white smoke front the exhaust. The engine has 206,000 miles on the clock. The engine runs smooth no misfires, it responds well when I press the throttle. I took off the oil cap and noticed some sludge in the engine, I guess the previous owner went a little over 5,000 miles on each oil change. I did not notice any coolant consumption, the oil is fairly clean and clear. and there is no excessive blow by from what I can tell. I do not know the service history on this engine. Could it be bad fuel? This car sat for about a month and a half before I purchased it only being started once and a while. The previous owner said it was driven about 4 days a week, mostly highway miles. Thanks for the help, I really appreciate it.
