If a blown head gasket or a cracked head cause there to be water on the spark plugs but not have "ANY" water in the oil? Or is the water getting in some other kind of way? Please Help

Lets start with you telling us what engine you have and maybe some detail in what your problem is.

1999 Chevy Cavalier 2.2L OHV. My brother was driving this vehicle last when this happened. Says it started steaming, stopped, added water, and parked it for the night. Next morning he tried to start it and it would'nt. I went over to take a look. Took a spark plug out to see if they were getting flooded. It was soaked with water, not fuel. Then checked dipstick for milky oil from water and there wasnt any signs there. But I recently read this since original post. If a low compression reading on the first stroke which doesnt build up during successive strokes indicates leaking valves or a blown head gasket (or a cracked head) may be the cause. If two adjacent cylinders have equally low compression, there's a strong possibility the head gasket is blown. The appearance of coolant in the combustion chambers or the crankcase would verify this condition. Sounds like it got hot and blew the head gasket from the symptoms. I'll know for sure after the compression test. But any suggestions you might have will be greatly appreciated. Cool

Sounds like you're on the right track with a blown head gasket or cracked head.
