I was driving the engine themometer went to hot while I looked at it. slowed car and it cooled some drove it about one mile to repair shop closed attendant checked water, ok. let engine run at idle to cool, engine locked up. checked for water in oil none, gas smell in oil, oil over full, I need to know what to do, and what to check, engine still locked up after two weeks.
What happened?

You know you overheated it for whatever reason. That's why it locked up. Next time don't try to make it to the garage.
