1998 Hyundai Elantra Intermitent Fuel Issue Sign In

1998
Hyundai Elantra
1.8
100,000

The engine turns over fine and when it starts it runs fine. Sometimes it won't start(cranks over fine). I have replaced the Fuel Pressure Regulator, the fuel pump Relay (95224-29050) and the fuel pump. About the only thing I haven't replaced are the injectors. The last time it would not start I gave it shot of starting fluid and it fired right up. Almost seems like something is intermittently stopping the electric power to the fuel pump. Appreciate any help.

Well with giving it a shot of starting fluid & having it start really seems to narrow it down to a fuel delivery problem. You probably want to check injector pulse with a noid light, also check the voltage right at the fuel pump when it's not starting to make sure you are getting 12 volts & verify there is a good ground circuit also......
