My wife had bought this car for a new job i am getting while i was out of town. It drove good at first then my battery light and abs light came on. when i hit the gas my digital display for miles would go out and my rpm's and speed would go all the way up. When i let off the gas everything would go back to normal. Also when i hit the gas my airconditioning fan would blow much stronger. Then today it died on me. When i got back home i noticed that my 25 amp engine fuse was blown. So I went and got more kept the battery dissconnected and put it back in. The second i turned the key the fuse would blow again.I also noticed that their were three sets of wires that go to the negative battery terminal, and two that go to the posotive. Is that normal? They were wrapped in duct tape and i can't imagine that is good. Don't have much money at all and really need to fix this myself but i am not a mechanic. I am good with electronics i change my plugs brakes oil ect. so if someone could please help it would be greatly appreciated. It does have a new battery and alternator....

Well you always want to start off with a good battery and connections...... Multiple grounds & powers are normal on most cars. More than likely it didn't come from the factory with duct tape...Tongue.
I would probably take that apart and make sure everything is clean & secure....

I would find out what circuit that fuse is for to see if it could possibly be the cause for some of the problems you are having..... If it blows right away, get a test light, hook the clip to battery positive & probe the load side of the fuse holder with the tip. If it lights up, you have a short to ground. It's just a matter of looking at the whole circuit, disconnect & unhook what you can to try to get the light to go out. Once it goes out, that is the circuit with the short to ground.......

Since the car is new to you, it might not be a bad idea to do all the maintenance stuff to it if there is a question if it's been done or not....Sometimes doing this will fix some problems....
