I love my old Ford Probe. It's been a GREAT car, for the most part, excepting an intermittent starting problem and that it eats brakes for lunch. However, I had to retire it. It was zipping along as its usual self, but when stopped at a stoplight, it just simply QUIT RUNNING and would not start again. It cranks but doesn't start. The battery post has some considerable corrosion, could that be it? Could that be part of a larger problem? This baby has 150,000 miles on it and still ran like the wind no problems with pick up. This is puzzling and I'd sure appreciate some input. Thanks! Kathy from Colorado

At the moment it isn't the battery terminal if it cranks. I think this car uses the rubber timing belt(s) and it would be due for it's second round of replacement. Don't know but that if so can completely kill some engines. From there we need to know if you are lacking spark, or fuel. Could be as simple as a relay and hope it's that simple, T
