1994 saturn SL1 shuts off whenever i apply the brakes 2

i had a friend check the compression and for leaks in the vacuum system. good compression and no leaks. He believes that their is nothing mechanically wrong and that a pinched wire (electrical) may be sending a signal to the computer to shut down when the brakes are applied. It sounds logical, but i didn't touch any wires when i worked on the clutch. Any ideas?
I did remove the IAC and clean, then tried the same process with no success.
