is there a better way to stop the oil leaking from the oil cooler lines? the lines leak where the metal fittings meet the rubber hose. i have added black silicon to plug up the collar end, but oil still gets out. only a one year warrenty from parts store. this is the 3rd set of hoses. 2nd set was dealer oem, same trouble. i dont know if cutting the fitting collars and adding a metal tube would be better. eliminate the rubber tube. i need more ideas

No, you can't eliminate the rubber section. that absorbs the vibration.
If these are engine oil cooler lines, you just buy replacement lines.

If they are trans cooler lines.........
You just need to cut off the rubber section and replace that section with new crimped collars

I deleted your other question. Please make all your replies to your original question.

No, you do not want to use clamp engine oil hoses. You could easily lose a motor that way. These are a common failure and they just have to be replaced.
