1994 Toyota Corolla I think it is a 1.6 167978 miles My son has drove the car hot!!! He had the radiator replaced and the car was running but had a rough idle about it. He drove it to work and when he went to go home it ran rough and died. I checked the spark and it has fire and also ran a comp. test on it. all cylinders were beteen 110 and 130 psi. One thing we found was with the radiator cap off when trying to start it the coolent would shoot out of the radiator, so I was thinking could it be a blown head gasket? and if so knowing that it was ran hot should we just replace the head. Any help with trouble shooting in this area will be appreciated. Rhinorex33

You're think correctly. It is a blown head gasket from getting it too hot. You may not have to replace the head but you'll have to send it out to the machine shop for testing. You would have to do that even if you bought a used head. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.

It just sucked in too much coolant and probably fouled the plugs.
