1994 cav wagon skipping and popping back thru intake

I hv a 1994 cavalier wagon 3.1 v6 186,000 mi.that is skipping and popping back thru intake .
in past i ran her low on fuel (low fuel light came on) a few time in a month never ran out of fuel.
i started to notice she was skipping then it turned into a popping and skipping.so i did a tune up pluggs wires changed the fuel filter. when i started her up i still had the problem. I changed 2 coils except 1st coil 1-4.
still i hv popping coming back thru intake and what sounds like a dead cylinder. I checked the fuel pressure and it is 45lbs when i turn key and when she is running it is still at 45 lbs pressure.when she is under load like taking off from stop or climbing a hill she pops back until i step into gas then it gets quiet no popping sound around 2000 rpm but i can tell she isn't running on all 6.When she reaches normal speed the popping comes back. im not smelling gas and the check engine light hasn't come on at all. now i've notice when i come to a stop she wants to die and if she dies she is very hard to start. any suggestions?

? Valve timing? (chain) Can you tell if it's random or the same cylinders? Compression test would help with the miles,
