1993 chevy lumina 3.0 l engine to remove

I need to pull this engine from my car but want to know if I can do this without pulling the cv joint axles from both sides of the transmission. The engine is VIN T type. I'm pulling it because it because of maintenance issues. Thanks for your replies. dcooke

Chevy never made a 3.0 engine.
- Remove air cleaner assembly, including air flow tube from throttle body.
- Disconnect battery cables.
- Remove hood with assistant.
- Drain engine coolant. For additional procedures
- Rotate engine forward.
- Remove brake vacuum tube at plenum and booster.
- Remove throttle, TV, and cruise control cables.
- Remove necessary electrical wiring.
- Remove secondary air injection pump assembly and support aside, if equipped.
- Rotate engine back.
- Remove radiator hose clamps and hoses.
- Remove heater hose clamps and hoses.
WARNING: To reduce the risk of fire and personal injury, always relieve fuel system pressure prior to disconnecting fuel system components. - Remove fuel lines.
- Remove power steering pump and set aside.
- Raise vehicle and suitably support.
- Remove flywheel covers.
- Remove starter.
- Remove right engine splash shield.
- Remove flywheel to torque converter bolts.
- Remove oil filter.
- Remove A/C compressor mounting bolts and hang compressor to body.
- Remove necessary electrical connectors.
- Remove engine mount retaining nuts at frame.
- Remove transaxle support bracket bolts at transaxle.
- Remove exhaust pipe bolts at rear exhaust manifold.
- Lower vehicle.
- Remove crossover pipe.
- Remove vacuum modulator line at modulator.
- Support transaxle.
- Remove transaxle to engine retaining bolts.
- Attach lifting device.
- Remove engine assembly.
- Remove flywheel bolts, flywheel and spacer.
- Engine assembly to engine stand.
