I have a 1993 chevrolet K1500 silverado Z71, the truck was running but had a rod knock. I replaced rod bearings, had crank inspected no machine work done. truck started and ran no problem noticed oil pressure gauge quit changed oil pressure sensor did not remove distributor when changing however removed distributor cap. also unscrewed small electrical device under cap and reinstalled never disconnecting it. truck will start, it runs for approx 30 sec at a perfectly smooth idle then dies. no sputter no warning just dies. CEL does not illuminate until after truck dies. If i feather the throttle truck will try to keep running then backfire through the Throttle Body. Please Help

used jumper wire to get fault codes and show code 22 TPS signal voltage low, does this mean the TPS is bad or should I begin looking for a wire fault?

The 1st step would be to confirm oil pressure. You don't want to be running this with no pressure.

You may have to hook up a mechanical gauge to know for sure but this would be your 1st priority.........
