1993 Geo Prizm stalls

I have owned this car for 3 years, and had no problems, and then driving into work last week the car stalled while going 30mph. After this I couldn't get it started - as if it was out of gas. I had the fuel pump and fuel filter replaced, but now the car hesitates and stalls often (especially when warm, like getting off the expressway). Main problem seems to be when I try to accelerate from a stop or slow down. Any thoughts? Thanks, Frank

Hi Frank, Is the timing belt up to date? It won't give you much warning if not, T

Thanks Tom. The cars been in the garage for over a week, and they still don't know what's wrong. They checked the timing belt, and said it was fine. Any other thoughts? Thanks, Frank

This Geo is probably made by Suzuki with a GM name on it. A dealership should have all info on the car just the same. I don't know where you have it but after a week they certainly don't know. HELL I don't know! This is only a keyboard! Please hit back if needed and what is found to help others, T PS: Tech and all read this site you know!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Got my car back, and after all that, it needed a tune-up. They replaced the distributor cap, wires, and plugs, and now it's driving great. Unfortunately for me, including the fuel pump and filter, my final bill was $580.

The fuel pump kicked that price up as it's not a cheap part and some labor and trouble to do them, glad you are back in biz, T
