I have had no luck finding the same year motor, all i have is an 1987 4.3 V6 with throttle body injection. Is there any problems with mounting this motor into my truck? I've been told the 4.3s were "revised" in 1992, though I'm not sure what that means, as the motors look identical. At best you would have to swap over all sensors and some items still intact from the orig. May I suggest you get some advice or a whole correct engine from a salvage yard. I don't have crossover software - they do at their fingertips! Not generally allowed but so what in this case and a plug for a place that can help you by phone. Problem,Most that did list mileage were high mileage engines. Rest didnt have mileage...
