1993 ford f 150 xlt lariet 4 wheel drive 5.0 174,000 i was driving down the road and all of the sudden the truck started losing power and sputtering and blowing blue smoke out of the exhaust i down shifted from od to d and it did get some more power but still not back to normal i have replaced the cap, rotor plugs and wires planning on replacing fuel filter the truck does nat have any tailpipes on it so i don't know if it is a backpressure problem.

You need to do a compression test first. Blue smoke is an indication of burning oil. When that happens suddenly and with a loss of power you likely have a bad engine. What do you mean that it doesn't have any tailpipes on it? Did you cut the entire exhaust off?
