This van will quit running if you let it idle [ only on cold days]. At 30 degress or less if you give it little throttle to keep it running untill it warms up it works fine. It seems to be slowly getting worse. I am looking for ideas.

Start by checking the radiator to make sure the coolant level is full. You may either have a bad coolant temp. sensor or the idle air control motor may not be operating properly. One thing you can try is to quickly cycle the ignition switch from off to on (key on engine off) 3 times. The third time leave the key on and watch the check engine light on the dash. It will begin to flash any trouble codes stored in the computer. If there are codes, record them and post back. We can go from there. The engine light will flash a series of 2 times per code. The first digit is the tens place. The flashes will be long. The second digit is the ones place. These flashes are faster. Then there will be a delay. Then the next code will flash. Try this and let us know how you make out. Steve
