1989 dodge dynasty

hi im looking at a 89 dodge dynasty runs pretty good but has a significant amount of oil leaking,leak appears to be back center close to fire wall anyone have any ideas my guess is valve cover gasket,car has 68,000 on it but is 17 years old would appreciate any one with knowlede of whats in that area that would leak like that thanks everyone

Without seeing the car you’re probably right about the valve cover leaking; I’ve replaced hundreds of them. The heat from the engine seems to bake and harden the rubber gasket cracking it. It’s the place to start anyway.
