I was driving today in the rain (had not been a problem the last few days, drove over 400 miles in the rain, however, there were several puddles that i ran over this time.) and turned off of the interstate. I stopped at the stop sign, and when i pulled out and accelerated, the engine died. I tried to restarted the engine, but the engine would not even turn over for the first ten times or so. After that, it started like there was no problem. However, when i tried to accelerate, the engine died once again. I was eventually able to continue on, but I had to turn later on in my trip. I let off the gas to slow down, and when accellerating around the turn, the engine died once again. What are some of the issues that might cause this? Is there any temporary fix that I can employ so that I can actually drive home (10 miles) ?

You used the term "turn over" - just what do you mean by that? Crank and no start or no cranking?

Did your engine hesitate before it stopped? Loss of power like it didnt want to accelerate?
