Sign In With the engine running pull the spark plug wires one at a time with insulated plug wire pliers. As you remove the plug wires the rpm should drop and the engine should run rough. If you find a cylinder that does not change during this test, you have a problem on that cylinder. If you have spark, check compression. Next, check injector pulse. If the noid light flashes you may either have a bad injector or you may have an intake valve not opening. You can pull the valve cover and turn the engine by hand to watch the valve stems to see if they are opening and closing properly. Try this and hit back with the results.
