DISTRIBUTOR
Here is a picture of the Distributor in my WolksWagen Golf (1987)
Can anyone tell me where to fit the Rotor Arm onto this, or is there anything missing from it ?

Just searched out a rotor for this and for both gasoline engines available it looked like the one above? The organge item in your pic look like the it's a rotor for that distributor. Don't know for sure but that could be a cap and rotor combo that was or is used together for perhaps models not sold in the US or some hi-performance set up for the original. Hard to say why it looks like that - perhpaps take your in to parts store and match it up??
