1987 Nova Died on the road

I was almost home when the engine just died.
I quietly drove it into the driveway but it won't start again. There's no bad smell (& there is oil in it) and it doesn't get to a point of trying to turn over.
Any help is appreciated.

Hi. Did you try cleaning the battery posts (where the cables hook up to the battery) and the wire clamps that connect to the battery? What happens when you try starting the engine? Does it make any kind of noise?
