Hello all, I own an 86' MC Super Sport that I'm in the process of rebuilding. The stock 305 engine overall is in very good shape, besides this one issue that has arised lately. In the city, the issue never occurs which leads me to believe it has something to do with high idling at extended times, my guess anyway...What happens is that after traveling on the Highway (about 15-20 min.) the engine sounds/drives as if it just lost 4 of the 8 cylinders once i come off the highway. When I come off the ramp onto normal streets, as i come to a stop it idles down extremely hard as if it is going to die, never has though. Once it starts idling normally, I begin to accelerate and at that time the engine feels like it is down shifting really hard and i have very limited power, if I put it on the floor it, it accelerates as it normally would if you were to give it a lot of gas, but if i just try to normally accelerate, it doesn't want to go anywhere.

After letting it sit for a while, it's fine to drive again, no problems. Could someone please shed some light on what they think is the problem here? I really appreciate the time folks!!
