07-09 GMC Acadia, Buick Enclave Sign In

If any one has encountered an issue with the following DTC's or symptoms, I recommend taking the vehicle to the dealer so that the PCM may be flashed for the newest update, and if the DTC's re occur, then both left and right bank cylinder heads will need to be measured for camshaft end play.
Check engine light on, and or Stabilitrak message and ABS light on, when scanned DTC's P0011, P0014, P0021, P0024, P0341, P0346, P0366, or P0391 Set And or EBCM DTC C0561

Had some of the same codes in F150's along with cylinder misfire codes and it wound up being the cam phasers.

Re: 07-09 GMC Acadia, Buick Enclave Sign In

for some reason the left head more so than the right, has issues with the cams walking forward in the journals. The latest TSB states specs are no more than 0.4mm of end play, but the one I just did had 1.32mm of end play intake and 0.87mm exhaust. The TSB calls for measuring all 4 heads and if within the 0.4mm adding a thrust washer behind each cam actuator. If as in the case of the vehicle I had, it exceeds the 0.4 and using a 2.5mm allen wrench(hex) see if it fits between the actuator and the bearing cap of the cam, which it did in the exhuast cam, then the head must be replaced and the new head must also be fitted with thrust washers when installing.
