I have a 05 magnum with 2.7 liter has 200k on engine. I was getting water in oil, I tore it down and found bad water pump shaft. Replaced water pump and put everything back together. I changed oil and drove it a couple days and changed oil again trying to get all water out. Everything with oil was great for several days but now I have water in oil again. So I was thinking I must have a blown head gasket so I pull engine back down and pulled the heads and checked the head gaskets but could not find any damage or sign of head gasket being blown.

Now I'm stuck does this mean I have a cracked block or cracked head or can there be something I'm missing. Any help would be great.

We usually diagnose first and then tear down. Too late to do any testing now.

That's strange. Usually if the water pump shaft seal goes bad on one of those, it will leak from a hole below the thermostat housing. If the hole is plugged up, the coolant will leak out the back of the engine instead.

Sometimes it is hard to trace a coolant leak from a MLS head gasket. Send the heads to the machine shop and have them air checked and checked for warping.

Cracked block is possible, but you would pretty much have to tear the engine down to find it.

Your water pump job could be bad. You'll have to put it all back together and remove the front cover. Then pressurize the coolant system and watch to make sure your job went right.

You could have an oil cooler that is leaking. You would have to remove and air check the cooler to see if there are any leaks.
