04 Honda Civic Shakes Badly On Cold Start. Ok To Drive For 2 Weeks?	Sign In

Hello. Took my 04 Honda Civic to Aamco due to shaking from the engine on a cold start. The engine would then stop shaking after a few seconds. The check engine light came on and spit out a P0304 code, indicating a misfire on cylinder 4. They replaced the coil and spark plugs and reset the computer. The code has not come back after 120 miles worth of driving, but the shaking on a cold start is still there. It feels like the shake and stutter you get when your almost out of gas.I'm taking it to another mechanic, but have to wait 2 weeks. Does this problem sound familiar?

Is it dangerous to drive for the next two weeks? Everything seems fine when the car is in drive. It only happens directly after starting the car and lasts for 2-4 seconds. I've read that it could be an injector. We've reached about 110, 000 miles on it and the timing belt probably needs replacing too. I won't know until 2weeks from now and was wondering if it was ok to drive in this condition. Than you for your time.

The technician is going to need the car overnight so this issue can be troubleshooted. It could be an injector or it could be spark too. That needs to be determined and it can only be done at the time it is occurring.

Noticed any loss of coolant? If there is coolant leaking into a cylinder when it sits, it will misfire till the coolant is burned off.
