Morning All, I have a 03 Grand Prix GT that is starting to loose oil around the LIM. The car has around 112,000 miles and the UIM gaskets were replaced around 75,000. I had to add about 1/3 of a qt yesterday with 500 miles on the conv 5w-30 oil change. As of now, there are no oil spots on the garage floor. I normally use conv 10-30, but use the 5-30 for the MN winters. Has anyone had this done lately (LIM gaskets)? What did it cost? How long would it be safe to continue driving as is if I religiously check the oil and coolant levels? I have not noticed the coolant level going down. Thanks in Advance!

Dog, if you get a good lower intake manifold gasket kit (FelPro) it should also come with the upper manifold kit. Should cost around $40. Not much money to replace, mostly time. Make sure you have a good shop manual, Chilton and Haynes can be thrown into the fireplace. I recommend AllData or Mitchell. Take your time, follow the torque specs and tightening sequence and just make sure you have a good, accurate torque wrench. With all this, I would say you'll do just fine. Steve
