02 sensors on Hyundai Elantra 2002 Sign In

I have a Hyundai Elantra '02 I had my Cat Converter Manifold replaced under a campaign. Now I am having problems with my o2 sensors, paid to get one fixed and possibly on my second. Do these two problems have anything to do with each other? The CCM and O2 sensors?

Thanks, Eleanor Smile

Yes most definately, some aftermarket cat converters dont have the right material inside and will cause the o2 sensor to not read right, also a exhaust leak will cause not to read right, see if converter comes up to factory specs, good luck.

It seems you had it replaced under a recall campaign from the manufacturer at no charge to you.
Therefore ,they would have put on a manufacturers replacement part (OEM) and it would not be an "aftermarket".
I think what your after is ..if the 02 sensors were/became faulty because of the catalytic converter, you want the manufacturer to pay for replacemnet of them...correct?
I dont know what the reason for the recall is...why the converters were deemed "faulty" but i dont think you're going to have a leg to stand on by getting the manufacturer to pay for 02 sensors.
If they were damaged as a result of the failed converter, then replacement of them would have been included in the recall procedures.

IMO..probably weren't

Thats my opinion
Sorry!
