ok here is what happened, my friend has a 93 Chrysler Concorde with a 3.5L v6. He was leaving my house today and started the car just fine as always, and backed out....when he went to shift from reverse to drive, the car died on him...when he tried to restart the car it turned over a couple of times and began to start, then just sputtered a little and died againCrazy...It sounded like he was out of gas, although we just put gas in the car. I suggested that he turn the ignition on and I listened for the fuel pump, but couldn't hear it pressuring the lines. The car continues to turn over, sputter, then die like it has no fuel. I need to know if there are any other problems that have these symptoms, or if a fuel pump can go out just that fast and with no warning...we checked the fuses and the relays, but all are working fine. I am stumped, other than the fuel system not getting gas to the engine...anyone got any other ideas?Unsure

WELL IF ITS A FUEL PROBLEM YOU SUSPECT YOU MAY BE RIGHT. THE FIRST THING YOU NEED TO DO IS PUT A FUEL PRESSURE GAGUE ON THE SCHRADER VALVE TO SEE IF YOU HAVE ANY PRESSURE. IF NOT THEN YOU NEED TO CHECK IF YOU HAVE POWER AT THE PUMP. I KNOW SOME CONCORDE/INTREPID/LHS VEHICLES HAVE AN ACCESS PANEL IN THE TRUNK TO GET TO THE FUEL PUMP AND YOU NEED TWO PEOPLE TO CHECK THIS BECAUSE FUEL PUMPS ONLY HAVE POWER FOR THE FIRST TWO SECONDS AFTER TURNING THE KEY ON SO YOU WILL NEED SOMEONE TO CYCLE THE KEY ON FOR TWO SECONDS AND OFF FOR FIVE WHILE YOU CHECK FOR POWER AT THE WIRES. GOOD LUCK.
