Both of your p0171 and 0174 would indicate a lean condition. I would start out by checking for vacuum leak under the hood. If no obvious leaks are found I would get a fuel pressure gauge from a loan-a-tool program at your local parts store. Test the fuel pressure engine running 30-44psi, key on engine off 34-44psi. Your ABS codes are more then likley your ABS module.

Have someone check for service bullitens on your codes. Very common problem is upper intake manifold leaks. They use rubber gaskets that leak during warmup causing a lean condition but seal up when the engine is fully warm making diagnosis difficult.

Hello, We have a 2000 Lincoln LS w/ a 3.9. The temp gauge went to H and we pulled into Autozone. The car cooled down and the guy said it was a 1229 code. Is this anything that you have heard of. He said that it could be air in the coolant lines or maybe a thermostat. He didn't have a clue nor do I. Can you kind of give me a little information on this. Is it common in the 3.9 Lincoln motor? I really appreciate any help! Bill Ohio
