monitors 02 lesabre

My scanner lists monitors and I'd like to have them " cleared " for the inspection before I bring it in , Some are O.K. , one is N/A , and about 4 are inc. and I imagine those are a problem ? I'm allowed 1 in NY and last I heard from the mech. is I had 2 , now I see 4 , what are these "monitors" ?

You mean complete right? You don't want to clear the monitors because they will have to run over again to complete. N/A means that monitor isn't supported by that vehicle. Disregard that one. Which ones are incomplete? Since we volunteer our time and knowledge, we ask for you to please follow up when a problem is resolved.

As DS stated, clearing them only starts the process all over so there is no benefit to clearing anything unless you just repaired something. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.

The evap mon came up O.K. as did the others except for one remaining catalyst mon. I got the inspection and I'll see if the new coolant temp. sensor helps to drop the inc. on that , thanks

I'll have to look up the exact criteria but usually if you take it out on the freeway and hold it steady around 60 for 5 to 10 minutes the cat monitor will run....if you hit the brk or turn sharp it all starts over...
