how do i jump diagnostic plug on a 2001 kia sportage?

I need to know where to run a jump wire on the diagnostic plug on a 2001 kia sportage to get engine codes. I don't have access to a scanner, and i need to access the onboard diagnostic computer for codes.

There is no way to jump the OBDII system. Autozone, Advance, Pep Boys and other parts chains will read the codes for free.
Being way2old is why I need help from younger minds
