i have a 1995 Mercury Grand Marquis. The check engine light came on. Hooked up scan tool came up with code P0402.. Any help would be great........

That's excessive flow from the EGR system. Ir may have carbon stuck in it or have an issue with too much vacuum.

No, you should get it diagnosed properly.

It doesn't necessarily have to be the dealer that does it, just a competent diagnostic tech.
