PirateHello, I am new to this Forum and I need a little guidance as to what direction I need to go!! I have a 96 Chrysler Concorde w/ 3.3 Engine and the codes that I get from my scanner are P0300, P0301, P0403 and P0134. Now, I bought this car from a guy and realized that the catalytic converter had been cut off It has a straight pipe welded on there for now), so I figured certain codes would come up because that is gone, but this car just recently started misfiring and driving sluggish.. It started about three weeks ago and then all of a sudden it stopped and was riding normal and just recently it started back misfiring and driving sluggish. I am truly stumped and need to where to start looking to fix this problem. I was told that my vaccuum lines could be clogged or I need a new IAC valve or injector probs (eek!). Another thing that I noticed, when I was doing my oil change last week,my air filter was clean as a whistle, shuld I be alarmed. That was a puzzler for me, what does that mean? Plz tell me where to start looking to resolve this problem. Before this prob started, the car rode just fine!!

Thigs I have done to car already before sluggishness
Replaced spark plugs and wires
New coil pack
New EGR Valve
oli change

Things done after sluggishness to try and correct prob
Changed spark plugs again
New EGR valve again (was still under warranty) just yestrday

Thx

P0300 is 'random cylinder misfire'. P0301 is 'cylinder one misfire'. You need to address these two codes, first. Could very easily be an injector or coil problem.

Well, I did check the coil pack and the wires and they check out fine.... leaning towards the fuel injector. Do I need to replace all of the fuel injectors or just the bad one?

Thx

videomann; You want to be darned sure that the injector is your problem. If it is, yes, it's best to replace all of them while you are 'there'. But, not imperative. Have you ohm checked the injectors? I can give you specs if needed.

Re: Need some direction Sign In

I am truly hoping that it is not, but everything seems to lead to the injector. If you have anymore ideas as to what it could be, please let me know, I'm at wits end with this one. Yes I would like the specs, if you have them.
Thx for all the help!!!

Re: Need some direction Sign In

The injector resistance should be 12 ohms. Check them cold and again when warm. If you've got a bad one, it'll stick out like a sore thumb.
