I have had this car for a very long time and one day the car died so I paid a buddy to fix it. After he fixed it I wanted it to pass DEQ so I could drive it and it still had the check engine light. I put my reader on it and it has misfires in all 4 cylinders and I have the code [P1111] and/or [P0171]. The code means that the air is too lean in bank 1. I have looked all over the internet for a solution. I have tried a smoke machine and I'm not sure what else to try, if you have a solution please let me know or if you have a question let me know as well.

The code means pretty much just what it says. The computer has reached it's limits in it's ability to compensate for the lean mixture. Many thinks can cause this vacuum leak Mass Air Flow Sensor Low fuel pressure Dirty fuel injectors Computer issues Someone will have to do a lot of testing. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.

ok thanks, i have tested the vacuum leak and there is nothing wrong with the hoses, the thing is the car runs perfectly fine so it makes it really hard to find the issue
