my 2004 chevy impala 3.4l has a constant info board message after starting that reads low brake fluid and the left side dash brake light stays on even once the emergency brake is released. I checked the master and it's full to the brim. although i dont like the looks of the fluid i plan on refreshing system, the emergency brake pedal seems to be working properly.could this have anything to do with a problem with an overspeed wheel indicator reading?which seemed to come up on a t code reader but cant be seen now. however the message (low brake fluid)still appears on the info board. any ideas? thank you.

There are a number of things that can put the brake light on, low fluid b eing one of them. The low fluid message however can mean nothing else but low fluid. If you have confirmed that the fluid is full then tap on the side of the reservoir with a screwdriver handle a couple times to see if the float is stuck. If that doesn't help, then the level sensor is likely bad and it will require a new reservoir. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.

Thanks for the reply Hammer Time. After I replace my homes hot water heater and broken wash machine filler hose(3 inches of water in basement) when it rains it pours i suppose? But I'm on the chevy brake fix this weekend for sure! Do you folks like to get replys of repair results? Thanx again. blackdog,
