wiper motor keep running in off position.

1990 mercury sable, the wiper motor won't go off in "off" position.Trouble started when the voltage regulator went bad and the voltage raised to very high. The switch assembly was replaced with no success. How to fix this. please also indicate the the location of falty part.

Hi Rafiq
do all the other positions on the switch work properly? high , low , intermittent, washer ect...
any other work done recently on your vehicle ?
try applying a temporary ground to the body of the wiper motor or at mounting bolt location using a fused jumper wire if available, wiper motors are notorious for poor grounds .....hope this helps .........Todd
