vw golf cd player help

i have a VW GOLF MK4, 53 plate 1.6 match i have had my cd player fitted in my vw golf for about 3 months n workd fine until 2 day when i go 2 turn it on nothing cums up it will eject n take in cds but nothing on the fascia??? help please

Usually the lights and lcd on the player are on a seperate power wire. check the fuses and the power wires. One is red which is the main power but the other can e yellow or orange and it is the one that runs the display and other items (usually refered to as power antenae although it has nothing to do with the antenae most of the time but on some models it controls those antenaes that slid up when the radio is turned on. Regardless this is the wire that is not getting power and it probably is the fuse
