Just purchased a new 2011 CR-V and am preparing for towing behind motorhome. Had M&G Engr air tow brake installed and they wired the tail lights incorrectly. I don't have a wiring diagram so can't tell exactly which wires are what. Both turn and brake lights work correctly but tail running lights do not. Just left light works. In looking at problem, I believe they attached the ground wire incorrectly at tail lights and this may be screwing up whole mess as some lights don't seem as bright as others. I assume the tail light 12V lines are connected together for both L&R lights. What wire in light assembly is ground? Would I just be better off taking the ground wire from motorhome directly to battery?

The wiring diagrams for 2010 and 2011 haven't been released yet so I had to look at 2009. It uses a red wire for tail lights and black for the ground but you shouldn't have to mess with the ground. The tail lights are all tied together so if one works, they all should if the harness hasn't been broken somewhere. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.

Thanks Hammer- my guess was the same. Just wasn't sure what color ground was and difficult to find by measurement since bunch of loads and resistance is low for all wires.
