OK, which relay is it? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.

thats the problem, i can hear it in the dash behind the cluster, but dont know which one. if i take the ground bat. cable, remove the connection, then make the connection, the rpm, fuel, and mph gauges flick, and the relay doesnt pull out unless you remove the connection.

You really need an amp probe so you can see the drain & then start pulling fuses one at a time & until you stop the drain & that will tell what circuit it's in. It is possible a relay could be sticking, it's also possible something is shorted or grounded energizing the relay. Old school was hooking a test light between the neg cable & neg terminal of the battery & a draw would light up the test light.... Only problem now is that the current flow the light draws is enough to keep some of the modules "awake".

Make sure you don't have a door open when you attaching this cable as that can be activating things. You should be able to track down that noise if you uses 2 people. Identifying the relay might save some work in narrowing down the draw. As Sidom pointed out, it's likely not the relay's fault. Something is turning it on.
