Today I started the truck then as I am driving it started thid grinding winning noise coming from the starter . I shut the engine off and the starter stay making this noise as if it was spiningrinding . Truck won't start now I tried jumper cables and as we tried to place the cables on the post it shut sparks it won't take the cables .please give me an idea of what might be wrong . When we tried to jumped it will spark . We had them red positive black negative . Could it be a short " somwhere ? If those two touched the starter would stay engaged - 79 should have the large positive cable AND a smaller wire on a terminal that perhaps has the letter "S" on it?
