s-10 truck battery Sign In

So I've got a 1991 s-10. The battery I had in the vehicle was a Autocraft part number 75-2, with 650 CCA @ 0degrees F, and 810 CCA @ 32 degrees F with a reserve capacity = 95. I got from a friend who had a full size chevy 1500, an Autocraft 78-1 which has 700 CCA @ 0degrees F, 875 CCA @ 32 degrees F with a reserve capacity = 120. I've never replaced my battery (bought the one in there with the truck 5 years ago). But, I could have sworn that the lights were brighter and windshield wipers faster with the new battery. Just want to confirm that this isn't going to damage my system. I have read that the CCA increase shouldn't hurt it as it is only a storage unit of the battery.....but why would everything seem so much brighter/ faster?
Thanks

More CCA is a good thing. Don't worry about that.
