rover 416 wont start

please help have rover 416 it kept cutting out the other day found out 1 spark plug was dead replaced it and tried to crank it over but to no avail the battery was flat so took it off to charge it over night put it back on but now it tries to trun over but cant petrol comming through but did wonder if it was the immobliser but after searching the web aint so sure as the fob opens the door (drivers door has alwasys been a bit sticky and have to use key but all others r fine) when i get in the car and put the key in the igniotion it bleeps but as b4 it stops when i press the button thats y i dont think its the immobliser but now i dont have a spark to the coil could this be the prob or a wire ing one thanks

This could be a battery issue. Once a battery dies and then gets on a charge it is never the same. The cells in the battery don't store charge like before. Also if you charged it, then tried to start your car multiple times, it wears the battery down to flat again. Battery test, and if it is not holding correct voltage, replace.
