Sport - if you didn't have TWO pads to control it I would have not set it. Is it factory or aftermarket? That will help to know. If it was so simple then there would be no point to it would it as every thief would know how to do it quick and take off, T

As you were told at the other forum, you need a tech to remove the old unit and put the interrupted wires back to the original configuration. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.

Gotta go with Hammer. You don't even know if this is original equipment or not so do as he says and get it properly taken out and wiring restored. At the age these things are more trouble for owners than any thief, T

Of course it won't. Circuits were interrupted to install it and they have to be joined again.
