I have a 1992 Pontiac Transport, 6cyl 3.1Litre 290,000 miles. I don't have any spark, and don't have a clue where to start looking for the problem.

You will also need to pick up a set of noid lights to check injector pulse. Install a noid light into one of the injector pigtails and install your spark tester into one of the ignition wires. Crank engine. If the noid light flashes and no spark, replace ignition module. If the noid lights don't flash and you don't have spark, replace the crank sensor.
